Visiting Hancock Shaker Village this weekend we were surprised to find a WIDE range of color schemes, including these black floors in the main residence building. It seems that while the Shakers originally painted their rooms in bright colors, they changed their style over time, removed the color and went for a style that included darker colors and more natural wood finishes. We'll be showing more of these pics this week.
