Look!: Carisa's Favorite Room

9-21-carisa3.jpg

People are slowly sharing their handi-work. This one is from Carisa, who put everything together with family help. (Thanks, Carisa!)

"Here are pics of my baby Renee's nursery. The nursery is decorated with circles. There are yellow sun-like bubbles on the walls. The bedding, wall hanging, and toy caddy are different prints that have some kind of polka dot. My mother-in-law made all of the bedding."

The only new piece of furniture is the crib. The dresser used to be in my brother's room and the changing table is a hand-me-down from friends. The room is about 9'x9' and has a small closet.

This is my favorite room in our new house. It looks out on our neighbor's mulberry tree. The room is shady in the summer and bright in the winter. The roman shades are from West Elm and the flooring is a cherry finished wood laminate.

Thanks, Carisa

Sweet. Love the bubble idea. Renee is a great name too.

These nursery pics are so fun! I like the circle theme; it's simple and if you choose to add another element (a character or another sub-theme) circles are neutral. Another plus is that because circles are neutral, the room won't look too "babyish" as your baby gets older. (sorry, but they do!) :) ~Monica

Carisa your house is very well decorated. I knew that it would turn out well when I went to visit you guys. Renee's room is really something she can grow into with time. All is well here. TTYL

Renee's parents worked very hard at making a beautiful room for their daughter. A lot of thought, research, hard work and love resulted in a wonderful place for your beautiful baby to enjoy for many years. Congratulations on your accomplishment. g/ma
