Color is easy with
Dune. The Tribeca furniture outfit we've talked about
before on AT has opened a new location within
ABC Home. The space in the rear of the second floor is made up of approximately 80% new designs, with the remaining 20% also available at the original
Dune...
Prices are high—but it is easy to fall in love with many of the colorful, contemporary pieces.

As a young boy I greatly anticipated the prospect of adulthood. Once grown, I could choose to stay up all night, eat nothing but ice cream and Raisen Bran, and watch Starsky reruns. I would spike my hair and wear Rayban sunglasses, like the "kool krazy" kids going utterly bonkers in ads for Chips Ahoy or Bubblicious. I would dress like a race car driver -- vaguely Euro, but with an adamantine cool that trumps any localized Middle American concerns for masculinity.
Moving to Manhattan was one step. Now, I must furnish. And here is the store that can deliver the decor for my dreams.
Hey Rick, The one thing Manhattan doesnt need is another smartass like you. Stay in Middle America you both deserve each other
Did I miss a post about AT officially declaring this as Bitch Week? The level of discourse on the NY site has sunk to a level that would embarrass middle school cliques.
I really like the chair + ottoman in the top picture. It looks like it is either ultrasuede or maybe velvet. I tried to find the chair on the Dune site but didn't see it. Maybe it is a new product?
Does anybody know of a similar looking chair? I am going to contact both Dune and ABC but would love suggestions of similar chairs if somebody knows of one. I'm looking of something like this for my living room.
andreas try BoConcept, on W18th. or check out their website, it's pretty comprehensive. i think i've even seen chairs like that at Ikea.
Dune is rying to deliver taste but does not get it.
The proportion of many items are off as well as the fabric selections.
they have the WORST customer service and after having spent THOUSANDS of dollars on a piece and waiting weeks for it, the doors are completely misaligned and the piece looks aweful and they have not fixed it.
they are the WORST. ABC should not have them in their store.

That's too bad..I had quite the opposite experience at Duneliving. My designer and I worked with a very helpful young woman there and we ended up ordering several things - a chair, sofa and storage unit, all of which came out perfect! the wait was long but worth it.

Dune Living should be ashamed. I just ordered a 4 new chairs. I asked for a discount and they said because they had some in stock they will give me a discount.
We had a deal. I paid.
When arranging for delivery, I was told that I needed to inspect the chairs. I did not think much of it, but asked why. At that point I was told they are "imperfect" and that is why I was getting the discount.
I was never told by salesperson these chairs were being sold "as is" and needless to say I was upset. When following up with management they explained that they not expect edthe chairs to be in great condition and no problems. but agreed these chairs were not in brand new condition. They also said that somewhere on the invoice it says "as is".
I thought this was a reputable company. Any good company would say upfornt if an item is "as is"...this would be part of the sales process. Not something to be told after the purchase is made.
All I asked was for them to honor the price and I will wait for the new chairs to be made. Instead they were looking to negotiate for a few dollars. And I'm a person who already bought a table from them and really wanted these charis to match.
If I was willing to wait for the new chairs (up to 8 weeks) they should have done the right thing and honored the deal.
Needless to say I will not to biz with them again and would recommend anyone I speak to to stay away.
