Simple. We saw this picture and were reminded how beautiful simple drawings and sketches are when properly matted and framed.
Alright, so that picture on the desk was carefully chosen by a stylist and may well be a Picasso or Matisse for all we know, but that is beside the point.
When we taught school we often saved the gems of drawings that the children did so quickly, so unconsciously. A few we framed, and they are beautiful. A simple drawing done by a child or even yourself in a childish mood can be absolutely stunning if well framed with a simple white matte and a dark frame.
Instead of buying a print, make your own. And here are some good framers.... MGR

A lot of art students churn out many and wonderful figure sketches, many just "gesture drawings" that have amazing qualities. The only problem is they are typically done on high-acidity newsprint, so maybe have some sort of copy of them made on something that won't yellow or deteriorate before framing...
I frame a lot of artwork and my favorite resource is www.americanframe.com. I have been dealing with them for about 10 years and they are FABULOUS. Check them out.
