One last thing from our short trip to Montreal. Now that it's so cold and windy in NYC, we're looking back on our host's gesture of hospitality with yearning. Each night, she would leave, on the small desk you see here, assorted teas, sugars and instant coffee (in that corked vial)...
The pitcher on the right side of the desk is insulated and filled with hot, revserse osmosis treated water. It was always a pleasure to come "home" after a freezing day seeing the city to sit and sip a hot drink in the comfort of our room. It is these gestures that make visitors feel completely relaxed and at home. We will take this lesson away from our brief home away from home in Montreal.
