Look!: Richard Woods at Paul Smith, Soho

I recognized it immediately! Walking home in the rain after taking pictures of Alessi, I couldn't help but notice the colorful windows featuring the work of Richard Woods! It was only last week that I posted about his work. I was even more excited when I walked inside to discover that the store is a new Paul Smith flagship!...

Looking at it up-close, it's most likely a technique based on woodblock relief prints. The colored blocks are painted/printed and the woodgrain pattern is printed on top of the colors. Here's more about the new store, which also sells some housewares and furniture.-aaron

can't wait to stop in now that it's open. I wonder if the lower fifth avenue store will remain open, the store design is do diffferent from this new flagship.
