We loved John and Tup's Studio Loft for it's spareness, and we think it lost votes because it was TOO spare for most people. Okay. Still you have to appreciate the fine details such as this swing-out dining table in the kitchen.
Sliding out like the blade of a Swiss Army knife, this simple design is a great solution for a small kitchen or office where you might just want to expand your surface area temporarily. (Thanks, John & Tup!)

In a word - smart!
that would be so perfect in a laundry room area for ironing and folding! love it!
Does anyone know how they did this? This would work perfect in a room we are trying to make an office/tv room/guest room. Unfortunately I'm not handy enough to figure out how they did this.
I looked at the original post but it didn't look like it came up.
Brilliant! I've long wanted to put a table that pivots from one end in my studio, but never had the space or time to do it. This is a fantastic modification to the idea. As for PhillyMeg, print out the image and go to your hardware store. Talk to someone in cabinetry, or find a metal shop that does welding. It should be simple enough if you have the proper piece fabricated.
Clever, but uninviting. I notice that people are saying it would be good in an laundry room or a studio. Probably because it does not invite you to sit down and enjoy a meal. Or even a snack.
you are ALWAYS so negative about EVERYTHING
Not really, anti-Pat. Just honest about my reactions. Have a good day, dear.
