Look! Viktor & Rolf Store

11-9-vr1.jpg
How timely! In honor of today's launch of Viktor & Rolf's collection for H&M, I'd like to share the images of the amazing interiors of the Dutch duo's only store in Milan. Similar to Bblessing on Orchard Street, the Viktor & Rolf boutique orients the entire store upside down...

But architect Siebe Tettero with Dutch SZI Design take it to the extreme-the design is executed so well, it takes a moment to realize that the pictures are right-side-up! There is a great article about the store here. -aaron

Good thing they put pillows on the archways. Wouldn't want anyone to bump their heads.

This is my total fantasy ... I grew up in a really unique-architectured A-frame will all kinds of beams and such, and I used to lay on the floor and completely fantasize about how cool it would be to live on the ceiling (i.e. with the big sloping roof as a slide, etc.)

LOVE this space!

anyone remember the children's book 'Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle', which was about a little old lady who lived in an upside down house?

You are so right, Dee. Corrected—I don't know what I was thinking...too excited about the grey tuxedo shirt at H+M!

Fun to look at for like 10 seconds, but this would give me a major disorientation headache for more than that!

I love this. As a kid I used to walk around the house looking into a hand mirror that was reflecting the ceiling. I'd pretend I was walking on the ceiling and take big steps over the arches, etc. I really want to see the store in Milan.

And I thought I was weird for lying on the ground and imagining walking around on the roof of my house.

This is only possible in a country that doesn't have wheelchair accessibility laws. The real question is what do the bathrooms look like - do you pee into a light fixture?

Imagine walking home by there — drunk — after a party...
