Tile, tile, tile. A few weeks back we featured a small company that makes glass tiles for the NYC subways system, and a reader wrote in that the best mosiac tiles came from Bisazza. So, we checked them out.
If people who do only one thing are generally better at it than others, and if Italian's are tops at glass design and style, then Bisazza hits the mark.

Founded in 1958 as a small local business, Bisazza has pioneered the art of the glass mosiac tile. Combining age old techniques of Venetian glass design and leading edge technology, They are now big, high end players with tile in the Rose Center at the American Museum of Natural History, Cher's Bathroom, and in Bisazza's Soho showroom designed by Fabio Novembre.

Prices run the gamut, from $8.70 per sq/ft for solid colored glass to $647 per sq/ft for glass with hand-applied white-goldleaf. It can be purchased from the Bisazza showroom or through other retailers such as Bella Tile, Quarry Tile and Knoxtile.com. (via NYMetro and Jose) MGR

glad you guys checked it out. did you go throught he back room and see the faux-kitchen and mock batrooms? so so so pretty. plus, last time i was there they were selling really cool little cufflinks witha single tile imbedded in a pewter setting. very chic.
Another great source for mosaic tile is (aptly named) MosaicTile.com - they have Bisazza and Opiocolor tile online, and the prices are fantastic! You can also call them at 888-266-7242.
Could you send me a catalog featuring the glass tiles in the pattern of a lion , by Bisazza .
