LiTraCon: Optical Fiber + Concrete Block

a - brick.jpgAt least these cement boots look good. It is called Light Transmitting Concrete and if you happen to be considering a renovation you might want to consider this as a possibility for a wall or divider for an interior space that doesn't get much light. Found in the Times, this new material was invented and is made in Hungary, by Aron Losonczi, a 27 year-old architect. They won't be distributed here for at least a year, but they can be seen in "Liquid Stone: New Architecture in Concrete," opening June 19th at the National Building Museum. MGR
