Antiques up to your eyeballs. Center 44, on 44th Street in midtown, is full of antiques from ancient periods right up through the 20th century. There are more than 70 international dealers here, taking up the length of a whole block.
Center44 also provides antique furniture and art restoration and upholstery services. If you like, you can check out their website to view inventory before you go.
Be sure to check out their Furnish a Future sales event on March 15. It will benefit Furnish a Future, a free furniture bank serving over 2,000 formerly homeless families every year. New York Spaces, the home design magazine of metropolitan New York, is the co-sponsor of the event.
You can attend for $25, which includes admission, drinks, food, and 10% off all purchases. There will also be designers on hand at the event to assist buyers in choosing merchandise.
