OMG. We just made the mistake of actually going outside for lunch (instead of eating at our desk staring at the monitor). Not only is it beautiful and warm, but everyone looks so happy and relaxed. We lolly-gagged, sitting on a bench in the sun, and now we're late getting back to work. Is it us, however, or does it also feel quiet, like everyone's away on vacation? (Pic: Choccy)

I think the city feels deserted...Unless of course you work midtown and bump into the touristy crowd on 5th avenue on your quest for some food to grab outside...
The weather is absolutely amazing!

Well, it's Passover, NYC public schools are on spring break this week, most private schools are on break this week, and this weekend is Easter so everyone IS on vacation. 'cept me.

Gotta speak up for DC--it's even warmer here, plus the cherry blossoms and various other flowering trees are out, so the air smells lovely (although admittedly very sneezy).

Sadly, except for the unwashed, everyone IS on vacation! As one of them, I DID stare at my monitor during lunch (slim fast and sweet potato chips) and periodically gaze out the window, with a door 3 steps behind me.

There really, truly is just about no one here, so we're pretty much all leaving early.

My day job is at a law firm.
I hope no one needs a lawyer this week.....
