2005_5_24_shamaris.jpgDept. of Paparazzi. We have recieved invitations inviting us to parties and openings which have been followed up with angry phone calls telling us NOT to post the info and let readers know.

It is therefore refreshing to recieve a nice invite to the opening of Andrianna Shamaris new shop in SoHo tonight that explicitly says we should "feel free to bring anyone you would like, including other Apartment Therapy readers."

We're going to check it out and hope to run into some of you there (we're going early). Tomorrow we'll review the store with your help.

The party runs from 6-10 (121 Greene St., nr. Prince St.; 212-388-9898). MGR

NYMag calls it: primitive home furnishings, which have an arty following in California... Shamaris is known for retooling old pieces from exotic locales....she has 150-year-old coconut shells converted into bowls ($135 to $165) and containers made from palm-tree trunks ($590).

Max, please do review this store. It sounds very interresting. The concept described in NYMag is something I might like. And while you're there find out if Andrianna is single. She looks quite attractive in the bad pic posted here.
