Dear Readers,

As of last week, we crossed another goal off our 2007 to-do list: Apartment Therapy is officially part of 1% For The Planet foundation, founded by Yvon Chouinard (Patagonia) and Craig Mathews' (Blue Ribbon Flies). As members we pledge to give 1% of our pretax revenue to a network of selected environmental groups working exclusively on environmental preservation.

We are proud to be able to efficiently direct our energies in this direction and feel that preserving our environment is not a choice but an obligation. We join a notable list of members, including Jack Johnson, Q Collection, Vivavi and Patagonia and hope to add to an example that others will follow.
