Yes, of course, they are the Bad ones (we *are* the Good ones), but there's no drama without badness. And we love them anyway. If you're interested in the media's latest attempt to get under Gawker's skin, check out "wounded old-media journalist" Vanessa Grigoriadis's tasty article on Gawker, Everybody Sucks.

wow, and I thought new york litigators were mean. I'm in a playpen compared to you media types!

How about New York Magazine copy editors suck? There's no such word as "unredeemable" - at least not in my dictionary. Try "irredeemable". Sheesh. next thing you'll be telling me that the words "dipshittery", "fugly" and "douchy" exist.

Gawker and AT are my 2 most-visited sites, except for Google. Yin and yang?

I'm with Jon_B on this one.
And I don't see how posting this relates to AT's mission.

"next thing you'll be telling me that the words "dipshittery", "fugly" and "douchy" exist."
But they should. Unlike "unredeemable", which is unnecessary since a perfectly good word -- "irredeemable" -- already exists to fill its semantic role, I can't think of a satisfying replacement for "dipshittery".

I hate Gawker with a passion. I actually enjoyed it when Elizabeth Spiers was involved because it was snarky, but just shy of being mean-spirited. I stopped visiting the site when Jessica Coen came onboard mostly because I hated her "voice" and the predominantly mudslinging editorial slant the site began to embrace... Y'all are entitled to your own opinions.
I still visit other Gawker Media sites: Idolator, Defamer, Fleshbot. But Gawker is dead to me. Has been for a few years now.
