Reminder. Don't forget Brooklyn Designs this weekend. Even though ICFF bills itself as the biggest furniture and design event of the year in NYC, there are more and more offshoots that are stealing a piece of the action.
Brooklyn Designs features all homegrown Brooklyn talent showing off their newest and best furniture, lighting, rugs and accessories. It runs through tomorrow and costs $10 to get in.

Are there any more off-shoot furniture or related shows going that you know of?
-Other than Brooklyn Designs?
Are there any more off-shoot furniture (or related-) shows going on that you are aware of?
Thanks, RA
It was a smallish affair, but there were enough quality displays to make it worth the trip (from NJ). I really liked the stuff from 3 Square Design (3squaredesign.com). Their chair and matching ottoman make a beautiful set. Geometric, stylish, clever, yet a little bit cuddly. Fresh look. Very nice sofa as well.
Have to save up a little, though.
I checked out Brooklyn Designs this year and there was some really good companies. Wud Furniture Design was showing some really cool stuff with lead and wood. Their site is www.wudfurniture.com
So I hate to be so shallow, but the man at the Wud Designs booth was so gorgeous that I can't really recall the furniture. All I got from their display? Hot guy, works with wood. Or wud.
Deeper thoughts now. Robin, there are more shows going on this weekend around ICFF. The Italians have their own show and there's Design Downtown and usually a number of other things in showrooms and stores. Everyone's in town so the design world is hopping.

You can tour-guide my "design tours" ANY day. You seem to have an exceptional eye. ;)
