Keeping the f$ea in fleamarket. Just to let you know that one of our intrepid friends, who is looking to furnish his new rental on a budget, but wants it to look like a million dollars, found this 11 foot onference table at the Chelsea Flea Market for $4800. While that is not chump change, it IS a monstrous table, in great condition and he is good at haggling (still to be done). The fellow who keeps this stall, John, also has many other pieces as well as large conference tables in steel for less dough. If you are in the city this weekend (bring a sweater) a walk through the flea market shouldn't disappoint. MGR

I am presently looking to by a sleeper sofa - leather - modern. can you recommend any manufacturer that would be good & wouldn't cost more than say $2,500. Just got bloomies new mailer they had a few on sale - but they weren't sleeper. They do carry Elite Leathers which is supposed to be good.....but from your post about your challenge, I was wondering if soemthing new came along. I too have been lookin on craigslist with no luck.
I been waiting so long.. I bought a brush steel bed from yor store, i,ve yet to find any type of dresser to matches. I have been in this apartment one full yer with my garment in a ben.... I refuse to get something tacky, or that just doesnt bring out the best in my furnitings.
I am desperately looking for two things. ie. armless modern chairs for the kitchen. I'd love to get four Norman cherner chairs on sale. anyone have any ideas? Also, where would i go to check out estate sales in new york city? Thanks much.
