This just in. We almost missed it, but we just heard that the Italian contigent of design companies, which had their own section at ICFF last year has pulled out. Apparently they are setting up their own Design Conference over on the piers.
So the 17th Annual International Furniture Fair will be a little less international and a lot less Italian this year. AND we're going to now have to make three trips to see everything: one to Brooklyn, one to Javits and one to kiss the Italians and sit on their chunky leather sofas..... MGR
actually - FOUR! the "downtown" that was at the chelsea hotel last year is somewhere in west chelsea this year! (it was really great last year. hopefully the venue change won't ruin it!)
I am being VERY good about any of the SEVERAL ways I could go with "Italians Pull Out"...
