Crate and Barrel is the one place where I have consistently had a good experience - they deliver when they say they will, the charge (if items purchased through their store) is much less than their competitors, the customer service is excellent and the quality is more than adequate.
Went to C&B on Friday and saw those shadowboxes... beautiful. Extremely impressive.
But $700? Woo!
I'm thinking of going with the Ikea bookshelves of the same basic, albeit less-thick, look for $99 to $149, depending whether I decide to super-size it.
Crate & Barrel used to have Shadow Box in a media console. I really would like to have one now, but it has apparently been discontinued. I checked out the tower, which they still carry, but I don't think the dimensions would work horizontally ( http://www.crateandbarrel.com/search.aspx?query=shadow%20box ). Does anyone know of anything similar or who manufactured it for C & B?
