Because it's just so damn cold. We started to get into it last month, and now with the pets out of the way (Hey, we'll put up one more today), we can really get into what makes a good night's sleep or simply a good night in the bedroom...
But seriously, we hope this month to dig up some good dope on which mattresses are best, what size beds are best and how many of you store large items under your bed. But first.....

We just purchased a Temperpedic-type foam mattress at Economy on E. Houston -FAB! Highly recommended, esp on top of a platform/storage bed.
A few months ago (after having an a-ha moment and realizing that my breathing problems may have resulted from sleeping on foam, and then performing a tremendous amount of research on the way other latexes and foams off-gas), I purchased a natural latex mattress and a wool topper from the website organicselections.com. (On top of them I have a down pillowtop featherbed that's several years old.) They're incredibly comfortable, very healthy for people with chemical sensitivity, naturally antibacterial, and easy to move. I highly recommend them.
