That is the US Air Force Academy. I know what the men's dorms look like because... my mom used to work there.
I picked out fabric for 4,000 dining room chairs once when I was in high school and my mom brought home some samples. The military sort of leaves decisions like that up to supply/acquisitions staff and not designers, apparently!
Military dorm furniture varies (I was also in the Air Force) from white mod wardrobes to oak bookcase/dresser units (bookcase on top, dresser on the bottom, pretty practical) to cheesy repro cherry traditional highboys in visiting officers' quarters.
Some of it is probably made by prisoners in work programs or other low contract bidders.
