The return of guilt-free garbage... The city announces two big changes to its recycling program today: 1.) glass bottles and jars will once again be picked up. Yes, you can just toss them in the blue bins along with the metal and plastic, and 2.) the city says they'll recommence weekly recycling pick-ups. Actually, on our block they already pick up every Wednesday, but maybe that's just because the Department of Sanitation likes us. Bottom line: good recycling habits will almost certainly be rewarded in heaven, and Apartment Therapy applauds the city vigorously.
