Curtis just emailed to say that he is selling a GE Profile stove ($600) and a Maytag refrigerator ($100) on the cheap. Looks like he's also got a dishwasher for sale, but it sold fast.
Here's the link to Craigslist. If your'e in the market for these things, this could be your day. MGR

Just so's ya know, that ain't the Curtis you all know and at whose altar you all worship. That one should be called something like Curtis, the Sequel, or Curtis (the other one), or something.
I'M the real Curtis.
Cast my vote for "The Schlepper Formerly Known As Curtis."
Scratch that. I just reread and realized that he e-mail the site. MGR didn't just pick him off craigslist. I'd never call any visitor to this site a schlepper. Sorry C(too)!
Dear Curtis (The Real and Original Painter Of Many Things):
I thought of you yesterday at The Strand when I spied the cover of "The Final Solution: A Story of Detection" by Michael Chabon. It's a paint by numbers, made of numbers.
I hope you go public with more of your mural work . . .
I was going to ask how the appliances were painted.
If these were "general aesthetic Curtis'" appliances, the stove would be painted to look like a fridge, and vice versa. :)
It would all depend on the context, but something as ambitious as painting a fridge I would probably only do if the fridge was really old (I did this once, years ago) with appliance spray paint, and I bought some Testors model airplane paint and touched up the little bits of red on the logo of it.
Naturally once HGTV gets the word what a great show I would host, there will be General Aesthetic appliances, probably as a tie-in with General Electric, but that would probably be a little ways down on my agenda of my manifesto.
