I just swung by the thrift shops on 17th St. and discovered a very important bit of thrift news. Sept. 14th (TODAY) is the Fall Premiere for Housing Works Chelsea. The store was actually closed Monday in preparation. The season premiere is when they clean out the whole place and restock entirely and set up new windows, etc. etc. All of the hardcore thrifters line up to be there when they open the doors. Doors open 10-6pm and Sunday, noon-5pm. OHR
