How this will work: once we have posted all the submissions, which should take us to Monday or Tuesday of next week (because we got swamped), we will choose the top five CLEAR FINALISTS for the semi-finals in the East and the West. Both sites will host voting run-offs between those five finalists. That will end on Friday of next week.
We'll then take the top TWO finishers from the East and the top TWO from the West and give them the weekend to submit SIX new photographs.
On Monday, October 31st, the final smackdown will begin to determine the Champion and the first four places. Nervous yet? (Photo: BoazR)

Is it an issue that the earlier someone posted their entry, the more votes they're likely to have garnered? Just a thought...
Usually this is not a problem as the earlier entries are up longer but the audience grows during the course of the contest so that the later entries get a bigger first glance audience.
Also, this time we will be posting a big overview of all the entries to allow people to see them all at once.
I was wondering the same thing. Although, those of us that slacked off half deserve it. ;)
That photo is an attempt to (not so) subtly influence a vote favoring The East in this spot poll, isn't it?
Yes, they're half-naked men... but they're half-naked FAT men. A niche taste, so to speak...
Most importantly, it looks like they're wearing wearing very expensive throw rugs, which immediately makes them perfect for this.
Okay, this is NOT what I meant when, in the "Chair &" series, I was demanding equal time for the male form...
(don't get me wrong... I likes me some beefcake. This is just a little too much, um, "cake.")
Slightly off the point, but as kind of a visual undercurrent to the color stuff that's happening, I think I'm seeing variations of a geomatric trend that seems to something like a grid theme of horizontal rectangles as an element in several entries.
I'm sure you'll have the next set of photos - these beefcakes in battle, with their throws colorfully decorating the landscape - during the actual contest voting run-offs.
I think the midwest will win. Oh, wait....
With that question, who knew interior design can get all Tupac/ Biggie?
I'd like to suggest east, west, and infant divisions for this contest.
I liked the small apartment contest's rules better because there was a panel of professionals selecting the finalists. This may not be a popular opinion, but with professionals making the first cut, the strongest rooms would have a better chance of rising to the top.
