James May's Lego House Demolished!
Telegraph

A sad day for LEGO maniacs everywhere! Just a few weeks after its completion, the temporary life-size LEGO home built for an episode of James May's Toy Stories has been dismantled!

Plans for Legoland to move the home to their theme park fell through because costs were too high. The structure built on the Denbies Wine Estate in Dorking, Surrey was never intended to be permanent — it never had approval from the local planning commission. All of the LEGOs will be donated to charity and we can't wait to see the Toy Stories episode featuring this amazing home!

You can see all the pictures in the Telegraph gallery: James May's Lego house is demolished.

I went to Legoland many years back. I couldn't afford the insanely steep admission price, but gawked from the car park. How cool is Lego?

Honestly, that just makes me sick. All that work and nobody wanted it. That house was a piece of art. Perhaps not great art, but definitely fun art. It's gotta just kill him to see it wrecked like that.

that sucks. really, really sucks. i'll bet if they gave it a little time, someone would have coughed up the dough to move it.
