Despite the rain, we're rolling on with Art Month, blogging as many good resources for finding, framing and buying good art as we can. If you have any tips, send them in.
In addition, we're rolling out many more entries to our "Come Up And See My Art" Contest, and are HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE that Alec in Los Angeles debugged his spam blocker over the weekend to find a whole bunch of West Coast Entries. Keep your eyes peeled on the West.

In connection with art month (not really, but it sounds noble) me and the husband took a tour of the art gallery scene in Chelsea on Saturday afternoon. We started at 20th street and got to about 24th street (the tiny Spanish Tapas restaurant intervened there somewhere). I recommend this tour highly. We'll be going back to continue the tour and then do it all over again, as the exhibitions will, of course, change. I won't be purchasing the photo of the young, scantily clad male holding the head (only the head) of an old man by the hair, as the young man stands in a field. Maybe something else will catch my eye! But it also won't be the photo of the same young man holding a very young gymnist who is writhing in pain and clutching her ankle as two other very young gymnists stand idly and dispassionately buy, no, I won't buy that one! The galleries themselves are really amazing, cool, interesting to be in. Many of them look alike, but that's ok, they're all a little different and of course the art changes every perspective. It was great.
Any idea where to buy those precious little metal stands that stores and museums display their objet on. They are usually black metal (iron?) and they wrap around the item to keep them off the table surface and in mid-air. I often see African wood carved art or shells displayed on them.
By the way, I gotta say, I'm loving every single entry in the contest, so far. I think this may be the hardest one to decide yet. Not even to decide, buy to just even narrow down.
