Nothing warms up a room quite like a beautiful piece of art, be it from a gallery, a friend, or done by yourself. But from our own experience, this is an area that many, many people feel insecure about. What would go well in my room? Where can I find something I like? How big should it be? These are all questions we hope to answer this month as we blog stores, galleries, tips and reader's own home collections.
So send us your tips and favorite artists.
And today is the deadline for our "Come Up and See My Artwork Contest," so if you're planning on entering, get it in today. Out in Los Angeles, things are a bit slow, so - if you are in the West - send Alec@apartmenttherapy.com some pics of your art collection and get the ball rolling.

TWO - no one but TWO - art fairs in Santa Monica starting Thursday night
1. LA Art Show http://www.laartshow.com/ - which has more historical material (ie dead people)
2. Art LA http://www.artfairsinc.com/artla/2006/
Which is much more contemporary and has tons of LA galleries participating.
And all this very weekend
Thanks for noticing
