apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

January is Artwork Month!

Victoria's apt in San Fran

Speaking of Artwork, remember that we're not just looking for artwork you've done; we're looking for artwork that you've collected. We want to see what you have, how you hang it, and how it affects your room.

This is our last week for art as an emphasis, so if you have any sources, tips or ideas to share, send them in...

Meanwhile, another great apartment to look at for artwork is Victoria's out in San Francisco. Looking again at her apartment a few weeks ago, we were reminded how varied artwork can be. It's not just pictures on the wall. It is also vases, bottles, chalboards, feathers and shells. Take a look at what she's done in her apt. It's really lovely.

Victoria - I cannot say enough positive things about your home. I have seen many wonderful spaces on AT but yours is my favourite.

I don't recall seeing this apartment before. I'll have to add this to my favorite list which, up until now, consisted only of P2's and Curtis'. Three place, each extremely different. Wow. Victoria. This is incredibly beautiful

Really lovely and warm. I love all of the attention to detail. An inspiration.

And the wicker-esque rug/floor mat you have on your balcony and near the doggy food - I'm trying to find one of those for my place, but for the life of me, I can't remember what they're called. I'm in NY, but could you tell me where you got yours? Should at least be able to point me in a direction.

Thanks!

Hey there - I just saw this post! Thanks so much Maxwell! I'm so flattered. As Angelune said, my apartment changes a lot. I get restless and tend to move things around and add new pieces. But my rule is: one thing in, one thing out. And that's thanks to Maxwell's guidance about simplifying and keeping just what you use and need (I'm still working on this one!).

Anyway, check the blog, or my flickr account to see recent changes. It's changed considerably since this house tour.

And to answer Harley's question, the rattan matting is from Cost Plus World Market.
