apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

MarthaWatch™: The Boss Gets Grilled

12-6-martha2.jpgAs the Television season hits full stride and Martha's new shows can be fully evaluated, this is from our readers on the ground.

Curtis is lining up this morning to be an audience member on today's MARTHA show. He's got the flickr address, so we may see pics on the right.

...[I will be there] with [my] favorite eBay purchases in hand. Mine will be, of course, the pair of paint-by-number paintings that I used to create the mural in my own apartment, and a couple of 8x10's of the mural itself...

Chris just sent in this link that shows all the sets for Martha's Apprentice.

As I watch the show, I alway pause it to check out the rooms on the show. My fave is the East Hampton side chairs in the kitchen. As much as the show is a flop (I still love it) I thought you might enjoy taking a peek at these rooms.

Hey boys & girls!

Curtis here! And YES! I did get into the audience and I was one of 5 people who did get to talk to her in person on the air! So, you simply MUST watch it if you can. That is -- if you wanna see me. You can't miss me, I'm wearing an apple-green long-sleeve shirt and I'm the second one of the people in the audience she talks to, and I think she actually says my name, Curtis, which you know. I'm still not believing it.

Way to go Curtis! Did you show pictures of your mural? Does the world know you're available for work?

A flop? The skinny I heard is that The Donald had it cancelled out of insecurity...course my skinny's often unreliable.

Curtis . . . can't wait to see you on Martha! How was it? I so want to get in to see a taping of it!

I love the metal Shaker chairs in the Martha Apprentice. Anyone else check out the decor in that show?

I'd like to get Martha in one of her "Everyday" bedroom sets. She'd have a nice big grin on her face for all her shows after that.

I had to be VERY quick and concise; I'm lucky I got to even show the thing as clearly as I think it came across. Not sure that availability was all that clear, but if people are searching the web and determined, hopefully they'll find my flickr thing and then find me?

Well if they got a good shot of the mural, then I'm sure that anyone who saw it will have been just as amazed as everyone here, and will do what it takes to track you down. Congratulations!

YAY Curtis!!!!! How exciting!

Is this a cable show, or on a network? I don't have cable and don't watch much TV -- but I would certainly watch for Curtis!

Curtis rocks. I can't wait for the day when the rest of world sees his work and I can say, "I knew him when. And nyah-nyah."

It was on NBC this morning at 11:00am here in NYC, but apparently, in Mississippi it was shown on ABC, for some reason, but it always gets re-broadcast here in NYC on The Learning Channel (TLC) on cable.

I just caught a glimpse of Curtis in the audience. That lime green looks very pale. Watching patiently to see his "segment".

the segment was really quick, but if you saw Curtis' pictures here you would've recognized them :)
