Cleaning up for the summer. When next weekend comes, summer will be kicking off and all of our energies will be diverting away from the inside of our homes as we spend more and more time outdoors. That means it's time to get the spring cleaning finished.
We're finishing up our spring cleaning this week and will be posting photographs as soon as we're proud of them. We'd love to see yours. Send in pics of whatever your working on (before and after), and we'll post them if their decent. MGR

I moved in November with Big Apple Moving & Storage of Brooklyn and what could have been a horrible experience (hate moving) was quite pleasant. From the beginning the estimator Joe was very pleasant (did not know that he was the owner) gave me suggestions to prepare for my move and arranged to deliver moving boxes to my home free of charge (delivery) so that I could start packing.
On move day the guys were knowledgeable came in did a walk through and proceeded to move my items. The estimate was for 4 hours based on the information that I provided, the crew chief Jose advised me before the start of the job that because I was not properly packed (I was not packed) the move would probably be 6 hours and not the estimated 4 boy was he right on the money.
They worked tirelessly told me to sit and they packed and moved all my belongings. These guys were tireless. I moved into my new apartment around 4pm my bedroom was set up everything placed in the correct spots except for unpacking of boxes. I had one minor nick on an inexpensive picture frame, the guys were the best, very upbeat about sharing the elevators and the move in general.
Needless to say I have been recommending Big Apple to everyone I come across.
i have yet to begin cleaning. My windows desperately need to be cleaned. One of the guys in the building will do them for $5 per window. I need a new vacuum because my other one is on its last leg. Any recomendations for a new one in the $400 range or less would be appreciated.

i was wondering was i the only one, as i loaded up on soft scrub, scrubbing brush, mop, hangers and paper towels at the discount store this weekend. i had my first half of duty this weekend, next weekend i will finish up.
i must KILL ALL DUST & GRIME!
Have begun the final push. Having the other spaces neat and clen makes me less motivated. yikes!
Does getting all new hangers and throwing out all of the crappy ones that come from the dry cleaner out count as spring cleaning? One closet down, three to go.
I highly recommend replacing your hangars. My closets look great now.
