Wow! We just came back from the NY Gift Fair and are totally blown away. In two hours we managed to get down approximately two aisles or 1/40th of the whole fair. We have our work cut out for us.
The good news is that there are some beautiful, super-cool and otherwise practical things on display for the home, all of which we are going to try and get up on the site in the next few days. Our camera ran out of juice today, so we're recharging and going back tomorrow.

Highlights? Today we have two: Alpana Bawa's new home line of textiles, which are as colorful and creative as her clothing, but offer no problems fitting into them, and this crazy thing you see pictured above: an earth friendly Paper Towel that pops out of a pill from Gallery 91. MGR

I can't believe I watched all 40 slides of the chia-pet paper towel show. So you spill some juice and it's heading toward the edge of your counter. You search your cabinet for the plastic and foil container that houses a single paper towel. You peel the top off and grab a bowl from the cupboard. You then fill the bowl with water. You wait while lump turns to bigger wet lump and then squeeze out the excess water. You turn to the juice blob that is now on the counter and dripping down a cabinet and pooled on the floor. You turn and step into the juice and scream MOTHER OF GOD THIS PAPER TOWEL SUCKS
The paper towel is sort of neat but while I was watching the slideshow I couldn't help thinking, "You know, that looks like a tampon."
(Apologies to the squeamish folks out there but it does!)
ok, so are you planning on making a flip book?
neat though. trying to figure out when it would be helpful though. travel? but you have to have a bowl of water (or stream?) nearby. and regular paper towels dont take up all that much room.
how is that eco friendly? it ends up the same size as a regular paper towel, with much more packaging.
it seems totally gimmicky to me.
It's about portability!
the slide show made me laugh out loud. but then perhaps i'm punchy.
Now that was funny. But what does that have to do with Alpana?
Hi Alpana!
