We're inviting you all out TOMORROW (Sunday) to celebrate ICFF and see if we can cook up some good clean fun pitting task chairs against one another.
What: First Annual Task Chair Derby
Where: Union Square (north side big open space)
When: This Sunday, 6:30pm
All readers are eligible to bring a task chair of any shape or form and race it around the Square, derby style - no holds barred. The first one to finish or the last one sitting wins.
What: ICFF Drinks Party
Where: W Hotel Living Room Lobby Bar (just off the Square)
When: This Sunday, 7-9pm
Come on over afterwards for drinks and chatting with readers as well as other bloggers from MoCoLoco, TreeHugger and more

And we see no expense has been spared in the "branding" for this event. ;)
Will there be T-shirts available with that drawing? Cuz I'd be totally there, man.
Will the skateboarders and the Soc. for Creative Anachronism folk be there as well? Can't your just see people dressed as knights jousting in desk chairs?
Will there be a commeettee inspecting authenticity of the casters? And how the Controller of the commeettee will be selected?
Sounds kind of interesting, but I'm not sure it's my scene; certainly couldn't my carcass in anything that would attempt to race.
Curtis, if they'll supply TAS, it's available in 3 sizes...I once spec'ed the widest for a Victory Memorial Hospital doctor, weight 254lb.
You have a waaaaay to go even to come close.
Well, can the chairs come to the after party?
fyi: there's a giant dumpster of discarded office task chairs sitting just off where Centre and Lafayette split--one block north of Chambers Street. Pick up one for tomorrow's derby!
This sounds like *the* place to be in New York tonight. I hope you guys have a great time, and that your share some photos from the event with the rest of us.
That's a sweet location to... :)
Holly
Well, how was it and where are the pictures? How many were hospitalized during and afterwards (always an indication of how well it went...er...wait, that's the roller derby).
