It's time! After months of hard work, This Old House is premiering their first New York City project this weekend on PBS. The 19th-century brick row-house in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn is the home of Karen Shen, Kevin Costello (and their three sons) — and with the help of This Old House, they've transformed it from a boarding house into a three-unit building...
Over at This Old House, you can find before & after floorplans and a blog of the project.
From The New York Times: "The first episode will be shown nationally on Jan. 22, but New Yorkers will have to wait until Jan. 24, when it will be shown at 7 p.m. on Channel 13." We will be watching — will you tune in?

I saw one show on it last night. Beautiful place, but it's gonna take a ton of work (and money). Looking forward to the results, including the yard.

I forget when it runs on my PBS channel but do catch it on the Create channel however and it's a week later there as we still have the final ep of the barn house for this coming ep is the wrap party they throw at the end. That's been a very interesting project.
Im looking forward to this new series. Have been an TOH viewer going way back but hadn't kept up in the past several years and when I got my new digital TV, I've been watching pretty regularly since.

The contractor who did this house, Michael Streaman, also did my apartment. He is really fabulous - I'm so excited to see him and all of the people that worked on this project getting the recognition that they deserve!
