Store Tip: Zarin Fabrics is Expanding

This just in from Susan: Harry Zarin is expanding and offering furniture and accessories as well. Their new name is Zarin Fabric and Home Furnishings:

Saw an ad for Zarin Fabric and Home Furnishings in New York Magazine and NY Home. It look so different than older ads. I went to store. They are totally expanding into the corner store and will now have entire the block!

They still have great fabric selection( over 20,000) but now have GEORGEOUS furniture and accessories at discount prices lower than D & D. Same quality. New York Mag recommended them in Best Bets so I though I would go down and see for myself. Can't wait till they finish construction though. They say they will be done end of month. I will check back in Feb and let you know.

Perfectly timed since I'm heading down there in the next day or 2. Hard to believe but 30 yrs. in NYC & I've never been there!

I was there for the first time in a few years over the weekend. I can't BELIEVE how much they've cleaned up the place. It's so easy to find stuff now. Less of an adventure than the old jumble, though.

Higgens...thanks for the tip. Went there today. I agree....haven't been to LES in years but today was so nice for a walk, I thought I would check it out. The store is much bigger and nicer than I remember, but the discount pricing is definitely what I remember and a great find. They were really busy buthad plenty of help on hand. Bought some great fabric I saw at ABC for over 70 a yard at Zarin for 35 a yd. Can't beat that and they said I can order swatches on website. Didn't have enough time to look at new furniture but will go back soon. Fred.

Went to Zarin. Thanks for the idea. Haven't been their in years. I have heard alot about them lately so I went. WOW. What a difference. Brand new furniture showroom with unique items I never see and what prices! You must go down there. No one can even come close. They will custominze a counch ANY size for me for only $200 extra. ANY SIZE. Also loved the napkin rings. Check it out!

Love new Store. Great lighting a furniture. Good pricing but stuff is great quality and unique. I hope they add more.
