The Junkman

2004_7_junkman.jpgDoes it really work? We really believe in recycling and it is so hard to keep that belief alive in NYC. However, we ran across this ad today on Craigslist:

HAVE LEFT OVER STUFF? WAIT! DON'T PUT IT ON THE CURB......

IT DID NOT SELL? TIME HAS RUN OUT AND YOU HAVE TO GO? STUCK ON A WALKUP? NO WHERE TO TURN. MUST GET RID OF YOUR STUFF ASAP AND HAVE TO DRAG IT OUT TO THE CURB? WELL, SAY NO MORE.
JUST EMAIL THE THEJUNKMAN24@AOL.COM AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE AND I WILL COME BY AND TAKE IT ALL OUT FOR YOU.
I WILL EVEN TAKE YOUR COMPUTER STUFF TOO.
I WILL TAKE EVERYTHING THAT YOU DO NOT WANT.
MY REPAYMENT IS YOUR STUFF.
SO IF YOU NEED IT OUT ASAP.
I AM YOUR MAN.
24 HRS A DAY
ANYTIME IS THE RIGHT TIME.
THANKS AND HAVE A GREAT DAY!

We'd love to believe that this is true and that the happy ring in his prose is caused by an equally happy destination for all this junk. Does anyone have any info on this guy? MGR

Be very careful about giving away old computers, particularly to people you don't know - your personal data can often be recovered even if you've formatted or your hard drive appears to be dead. Before donating old computers or putting them in the dumpster, you should remove and physically destroy the hard drives.
