Thomas O'Brien at Target?

2005_8_9_thomas obrien.jpgWe just got an email from John at Velocity:

Have you folks mentioned the 500 piece collection that Target is launching with Thomas O'Brien? It is featured in this month's Elle Decor. Would be interested to see what folks thought of the collection.

SEE POST ABOVE - We blogged the open house in May, but could't find O'brien's pieces in the mag and couldn't find ANYthing on Target's site. Google searches bring up Target, but they seem to have taken down the page..... Anyone got a resource with pics? MGR

ps. We found the pic at Epinions, but little else.

There is also a beautiful picture in the Current slideshow in the New York Times (Home and Garden). I can only hope it resembles the picture when it arrives in the stores.

Some of the Thomas O'Brien collection is up on target.com. Search the site for his name and 117 items come up.

I was at the Target Pre-Fab party and Thomas O'Brien's room was the BEST! Some products already made their way to Target stores, some are on Target.com.

Wish the black bedside table with oversized silver pull was more sturdy. Looks great, but won't last.

I did buy the salt and pepper shaker (awesome!) and one of the vases and will be back for more. Just hope Target can keep it all in stock.

I just received the Thomas O'Brien nesting tables from Target.com (on sale for $79.99), and the quality is very disappointing. The wood has an uneven white cast that looks like it might be from excess glue having been rubbed over the wood instead of removed. In any case, if I wasn't planning to use these as a temporary solution in a furnished apartment I am subletting, I would definitely send them back. Hopefully, Target will resolve this production problem.
