Veni, Vidi, Domini

Dept. of Homeland Security. It is officially out: Domino, the Lucky-shopping for the home-spinoff, published by Conde Nast. We are already recieving emails from readers who have been sent promotional subscriptions.

We have to say that for some reason the IDEA of this magazine makes our skin crawl, mainly because Lucky is so trashy, BUT on glimpsing at the sneak peak pages on the site, it LOOKS attractive and useful. We shall see. We will be curious to see what other people think as it rolls out. MGR

There is something creepy about magazines that skip pesky content and move straight to buy buy buy.

That said, it might save my precious typing hands undue key-stroking if I know where to find my perfect chair, table, etc.

We love apartment therapy so we're hoping it'll be a mutual admiration society. We will just wait and hope. Deborah Needleman, Editor in Chief, domino

I'm pretty optimistic about it because a)I really like Shop Etc. but wish it had more home stuff and b) because they've already contacted Alpha Workshops, the non-profit I work at, about featuring some of our wallpaper. Deborah, If I can give you more info or anything, please let me know.
