Vivienne Westwood Wallpaper Collection for Cole & Son

Badass fashion designer Vivienne Westwood (she of punk rock) has teamed up with classy wallpaper house Cole & Son (they of the super-popular Woods print) to create twelve new patterns based on her textile designs, most times several colorways.

The designs are relatively restrained and ladylike for Ms. Westwood, who gained fame for her use of bondage gear, razor blades, and dog collars in 70s fashion. Cole & Son have been making wallpaper since 1873, and have evolved nicely with the times. The Westwood collection is only the latest in a line of designer products. Past projects have included works adapted from Piero Fornasetti, as well as geometric patterns by Tom Dixon.

This is making me seriously consider tackling wallpaper for the first time... Thanks for sharing these options...

The trompe l'oueil drapes is the only serious stand-out, to me, other than the main one that you're showing. But they're all very nice.

I like the subdued tartan pattern. That is one plaid wallpaper I could definitely live with, maybe on an accent wall. Much easier to swallow than the other plaid wallpaper patterns on that previous Mad Men post.
