Rock the Vote! This is the final week to cast your vote for the Dwell & BluDot Chair Design Competition. One of the three finalists will be awarded when their chair design goes into production to join the Blu Dot collection at ICFF in 2008! This is super-exciting as BluDot has become a powerhouse in the past couple of years. What a great opportunity for a lucky and talented designer...
The Sun Lounge chair is just awful... it's just a mash-up between a traditional old aluminum lawn chair and an Arne Jacobsen base. I like the Circuit Lounge, although I think it would look inappropriate as indoor furniture. Also, the whole system with the removable pads... it just seems a bit too fussy. I also like the Rapson chair, but I am not so sure about the armrests. However, I like the simplicity and lightness of it. It looks very comfortable.
My vote goes for Rapson.
(okay, my house was designed by Mr. Rapson, so I have a slight bias. ;-)

My criteria for a lounge chair includes enough support to doze off. Only the Rapson chair has a hope of achieving my standard of comfort.
