dolma carpet.jpgManolo meets tough foe: desire to go shoeless. I love, love, love these rugs! Should I be that positive? Absolutely. Dolma rugs are reasonably priced, beautifully constructed, and - what sets them apart - the subtlest rugs you can find. With rich variations in solid color, they fit into almost any room, making everything look good without stealing the show. New York Mag also agrees: "The high-end, hand-knotted carpets here (100 knots per square inch, the highest count available) cost about a third less than they do elsewhere. Designs include contemporary one-colors and centuries-old traditionals, like the floral Kasho Pesa (eight by ten feet, $2,500). All are made in Nepal; Richard Gere is a fan." While they don't have a website yet, Dolma Tibetan Carpets in California seems to sell the same rugs and their photos will give you an idea. Best to visit, and look particularly for the silk rugs.
