Great Scott! Who needs to buy a new crib when there are a TON of beautiful cribs on eBay??? There are true antiques at both high and low prices. And if you are afraid of bad old baby juju, this is a good way to get over it.

careful here. In keeping with what Dave pointed out, many of these don't meet current regulations & the descriptions on ebay acknowledge that. they say things like "perfect for your dolls" or "perfect for a dog bed", etc.
The bed in the picture is lovely, but looks like a deathtrap. I'd be afraid to let my dog lie in it, much less a child. Line it with plastic and use it as a wine cooler.
Consumer Reports advises against purchasing second hand cribs, both for the updated safety regulations mentioned above, as well as the unknown abuse a used crib may have endured.
