Niche Modern Lighting

10-19-niche3.jpgFalling color. We first met Jeremy Pyles of Niche Modern at the 2005 Brooklyn Designs, and it has been wonderful to watch him take his unique glass lighting designs further and further.

Above is a new design, Encalmo-Stamen, which fuses two bubbles of colored glass together. Below you can see a sample of the whole line...

While pendants are their staple, you will also find beautiful table lamps and a new line of vases as well. All designs can be bought through their site and prices range from $300 to $1200 for the Encalmo above.

That fish tank is great. I saw these guys at ICFF this year and think their lighting is pretty cool.

The top two lights look like the Harman Kardon subwoofer.

I'm still really leaning towards one (or two) of these when I finally decide on my overhead lights (I need to replace 3, in different spaces). Most lights are so ugly and I think these are beautiful but classic -- they won't look tired in a year or two.
