If you are looking for classic and current modern furniture at discount prices, take a look at Europebynet.com. We recieved the tipoff that even with the sucky currency difference right now, they still have excellent deals. They even have a toll free number in the US.
Europebynet.com sells a wide range of modern and traditional furnishings, lighting and accessories manufactured in Europe and SOME of the prices are deeply slashed from what were used to.
They've even got fancy kitchen faucets from Grohe, like the Europlus 2 that sells for $326 instead of $510. Other picks include the Arco lamp by Flos ($1251 instead of $2,295), and the Zurigo Armchair by Zanotta ($2,445 instead of $3,130).

Hey Maxwell,
Any chance that any and all comments made about Europebynet in the past could be aggregated here?
I have mentioned it a few times before and so have others.
Something that needs to be added to those prices are customs and shipping costs but, as my comment from yesterday shows, even with those additional costs the items are still a lot cheaper than buying them here in the US.
I purchased a Toio Lamp from Europe By Net months ago (earlier this year). The lamp is nice, but it arrived with a bent base. After numerous e-mails to europe by net they finally were going to have the factory send a replacement base, however I have yet to receive anything. It's been over two months now since they promised the replacement base and I've been e-mailing them every couple of weeks, but I never get a response. Be aware when purchasing from these guys. I can provide e-mails they've sent me if anyone wants.
Good Luck.
Stay away from EuropeByNet. I ordered a black spiral table. After a 2-month delay, they sent me table legs!!! After numerous promises, the table top has not arrived. I reported to my credit card company for a refund. Anyone who has had bad experience with EuropeByNet should post on the internet so that others can avoid having bad experiences with Europe By Net.
We ordered from Europbynet in mid-June and were told in late-July that our order was being shipped and would arrive in 4-6 weeks. They charged our credit card but it turns out that the shipping company didn't actually receive the product until mid September. It is now 20 weeks since we have ordered and we are still waiting. Working with our credit card company to dispute the charges. Stay away -- their service is awful.
EuropeByNet advertized on their web a B&B Mart armchair. I ordered two, everything was ok, I had selected the chair from their web-page. True, they sent a confirmation, where it was stated that the product is Mart revolving chair. Why bother to put a picture on net, then claim that their liability is zero since they sent you a confirmation. A buyer is seldom a professonal neither he has a catalogue in front of him - to separate the text. So eventually I got two chairs that are cheaper at B&B in the first place than the chairs the advertized and made the comparison for my saving. So that makes it a fraud.
I agree. I have now been waiting since July for the same spiral coffee table, one desk and a chair.
I cannot get any confimation of delivery and have now demanded a firm delivery date or \i want my money back
Horrible, horrible, horrible.
I made my purchase in April (Poliform Zoe bed and dresser). I received the items in August and several pieces were horribly damaged (chunks missing from the front and sides of the dresser and bad chips on the bed frame) and we refused delivery on several pieces but accepted delivery on the pieces that were just nicked in a few places since we had them on the phone while it was being delivered and thats what they asked us to do. Eventually they got a repair person to our house and touch up some of the items but we still don't have the bed frame and dresser. The entire time they've been saying we should have accepted shipment on the damaged merchandise and are telling us that they're having problems getting these items from the Manufacturer. We went directly to a local Poliform dealer that told us they could have the entire set in 8-10 weeks.
The hassle is not worth the money saved.
