She sells hand-embroidered, "chainstich" wool rugs in every rich color you can imagine. Some patterns look traditional, some 60's funky, and one looks like a view of Paris from a satellite far over head. Runners as well as area sizes are available, as well as custom orders. Prices run from $75 - $95 per square foot, which would be @ $6,800 for an 8x10. Not for faint of heart.
Delivery time is 4 months and your nest is done. (Thanks, Amy!) MGR

I disagree about the website. The Flash is corny, there is no way to link to specific rugs, and the type is amateur. I think these amazing rugs deserve a better display case. I love the Aereo and City.
So what does one of these rugs cost? Should I take up weaving instead of waiting four months? These are serious questions from a serious do-it-yourselfer. And I do think they are beautiful...
i agree that the website is beautiful, cool and short on details. the problem is, i typically find details (i.e., price) to be somewhat helpful when it comes to rug shopping.
i don't need to know federica's life story - just her price list.
FYI - just posted prices. high end. handmade. not surprising. M
