2005_9_13_koko1.jpgSlavishly following Daily Candy, we blog KoKo Trends and their parent site, Kokocompany.com, an online shop that makes us feel we are fourteen all over again and sooooo excited to do our dorm room over. However, they sell these super cool polypropylene floor mats ($36) that we found at Haven out in Montauk a few weeks ago and really like.

What they really do well is bold color. Their pillows, drapes and bedding are all wild, bright and fun. If you've got the blues, check these folks out.

Daily Candy says: "...bright, informal, cultured, industrious. Just like Koko Company floor mats, capricious carpets that riff on classic Persian rugs."

I just looked at their parent site and it looks great, but where are the prices? I do so hate having to pay $20 for a catalog. Yes, I know they reimburse the cost if you buy something from them but if they happen to be way out of my price range then I've just spent $20 on a catalog that's nothing more than a big tease!

Or is it a case of, "if you have to ask the price, you can't afford it"?

Those polypropylene floor mats are an absolute essential for picnics or laying out at the beach!
I have 6'x9' one in a similar pattern--but in blue--that I got on closeout for $9 at Urban Outfitters. (Apologies to the anti-Santorum camp.) And I keep that puppy in the trunk of my car, ready for spontaneous picnic-ing or beach time. Also, because of its large size, it's great for the outdoor Cinespia movie screenings at the Hollywood Forever cemetery--adds a bit of an exotic vibe to your outdoor spread. (Just add pillows and a low table with candles and wine glasses.)

Hey Reef, if you are interested in those rugs, I've seen them at Cakewalk, a little store in Rosendale, NY. I know the owner ships all over, and she's really nice--with the friendliest store cat I've ever met. :) I'm not sure what colors she has, but you could ask.

I agree - where are the prices? I emailed them, let's see how they respond.

Thanks Fiona,

I'm actually interested in the pillows I saw on Kokocompany.com

I just found some of their stuff being sold at pillowsandthrows.com and alas, the pillows go for around $68 for the 18" by 18" size and $82 for the 20" by 20" size. Oh well, they are lovely but a bit too pricey for me.

I love this site more than I can explain. Also, I work for a few websites, and our site devoted to women, style, and home decor is really awesome. You should check it all out at http://www.hellobeautiful.com/

Let me know what you think of it!
