Browsing through their website confirms this. Their products, although simple in nature (a vegetable peeler, washing brushes, or some note cards) all have the look and (virtual) feel of a substantive product — something made with only the best materials and with close attention to detail.

With this type of quality comes a higher price (everything is priced in Euros as well). But we think it probably all balances out in the end. Instead of spending less and having to replace it more often, you spend a little more upfront and you have it for life. It's a good philosophy to live by, and one that we try and keep in mind. In a sense, you get what you pay for.
All of their chosen products have been:
* manufactured with great skill according to traditional methods and are thus reliable and practical;
* are made of materials that were carefully chosen to suit the purpose
* are made from traditional materials, i.e. metal, glass, wood etc., that can be repaired and are, therefore, more environmentally friendly.
Check out more of their products at their website.

I've always loved their things and have been in their stores in Germany. Could have bought half the place, but alas, quality does have it's price. But I guess they make classical things so if you buy something it should last you a long time.

well, at least, one shop you envy us here in the country without antropologie, dwr, urban outfitter, sephora...
their stuff is often great, some designs are a little bit "rustic" (esp. their furniture), but if you look for something durable in the kitchen, Manufactum is a great choice. everytime I see my sister in munich, we head for Manufactum to shop and to have "Brotzeit" there. The bread and butter sankwiches are amazing, as the coffee there.
