Light up. Pursuing a "a passionate love affair with antique lighting, hardware, and old houses since 1977," Rejuvenation is a great resource if you like the classic look. They've just updated their catalog and website for their 30th anniversary and it's never been easier to browse their extensive collection of lighting and hardware styles...
Their lighting is sensibly divided by historic period (Arts & Crafts, Early Eclectic, Colonial Revival and Modern America) with additional categories covering outdoor porch lighting and basics. They stock both antique and reproduction wall sconces, chandeliers, and desk lamps (but mainly hanging lights/pendants). In addition to a number of available finishes on most items, many styles can be customized with the vast selection of glass shades. The catalog also features an excellent reference to compare the size and scale of their lighting.
Rejuvenation's hardware selection covers bath, cabinet and drapery hardware and in addition to exterior and interior door hardware, they stock a selection of doorbells, chimes, mailboxes and house numbers.
With physical stores in Portland, Oregon, and Seattle, Washington, Rejuvenation is not stuck entirely in the 1800's. we particularly like their modern lighting collection, which has the "clean lines of lighting design from 1925 to 1960" and their registers and window hardware. MGR

Rejuvenation is a great outfit. Truly knowledgable and friendly employees (in my experience). As well as quality goods. They provide lighting fixtures for lots of period movie sets (as well as historical buildings), and once you are familiar with their catalogue it is fun to spot their stuff on screen.
After I bought my dining room chandelier on eBay, I decided that I wanted my bathroom wall sconce to look somewhat compatible with it.
I discovered Rejuvenation Lighting from some restoration magazine and looked at their web site. Their site has a built-in design "wizard" that's very easy to navigate. I used it to get a general idea of what I wanted for my Late Deco apartment.
But the best part when I had a question and called their toll free number, they had this genius sales guy who knew their stock like the back of his hand, so that with him on the phone, and with both he and I looking at their website, he helped me custom design a fixture that looks completely organic to my apartment, by directing me to "search" various fixtures whose elements they could assemble into one perfect item.
I said, "Will this thing look like I made it myself?" "No, it will look great."
When I opened the box, it was literally like a dream come true. Everyone who sets foot into my apartment loves this fixture.
I'd gladly send a jpg of what the fixture looks like, if I'm told how to upload one here.
Great story, Curtis!
Why not upload the pic to flickr?
I'd love to see it.

Since this is an old post, I'll just update my 2005 comment from above:
They ended up posting my bathroom shot in their "customer shots" portion of their website:

And this is the dining room chandelier that I matched the little cup things in the fixture to:

This is a great company. As an architect I've used their products often for high end homes with great results. They have affordable high quality products in a bunch of finishes.

Some of their products hold up better than others. We ordered light fixtures for our dining room and hallway back in 2000 in an aged brass finish. They have tarnished, and not in a good way. They just look dull, and the metal is really thin.
But we have some door hardware and curtain rods in nickel finish that still looks good. If we had had the money, we would have bought from Urban Archeology instead. (And, in the long run, would have been a wash).
I admire their commitment to period accuracy, but if you're looking for something that will last generations, I can't recommend them.

I've used Rejuvenation a couple of times. I think they represent a good comprimise on cost and quality. My fixtures (oil rubbed brass) look great.

I was stunned by the price of the awesome bat pendant light - $1800?!?!
I love apartment therapy but I do often wonder about the average salary of the people who post here...

My salary's not through-the-roof or anything, but I figure the prices for a light fixture work out well considering it's something I'm going to look at every day for years at a time.
Love Rejuvenation Hardware. Their customer service and catalog are aces.

I guess this site is more for apartments people plan to live in for years and years. $1800 is more than two months rent for me.

Monkeyme, I think this site is for people in all living situations to get ideas. Lord knows I can't afford everything featured on this site -- but I can use it all to develop my own style vocabulary and to better understand what I like and don't like.
