Replace it. Looking for a piece of silver from a set your parents gave you? In fact, do you have a beautiful set of antique glasses or china that has slowly dwindled due to wild parties and breakage? Then Replacements.com is ready to deliver on its promise of replacing your collection out of its awesome 10 milion piece collection.
While we haven't used Replacements, we have heard good things about them.
Founded by Bob Page in Greensboro, NC, in 1981, they have "the world's largest selection" of old & new dinnerware, including china, stoneware, crystal, glassware, silver, stainless, and collectibles. They post a very organized directory online with images of pieces as well. While it seems they want you to make online requests for pricing, they say they answer within seconds. MGR

Well... I've had an unusual old china pattern on Replacements.com's list for one year now and have heard nothing... This online thing is apparently the only route to take, but I have a feeling I'm going to be looking for Crown Staffordshire CRS117 for the rest of my God given days. Anyone ever see a plain chocolate colored set with simple platnium trim?
I've been hoping Replacements would find some of the very plain everyday flatware I picked up at Ikea in August 2002. Just like you'd expect, it vanished in the Great Fall Rollout just a few weeks later. "Oh, I'll just buy a setting for four and see if I like it. There are so many boxes of it, I can come back next month!" Grr. I haven't had any luck in two years of searching.
I've been looking for Pottery Barn's "Dusk" stem- and bar-ware since I missed that boat a few years back. My only suggestion is to create a search on Ebay, although it hasn't yielded any success for me yet...
Brian, my husband and I looked for more of that beautiful Ikea flatware too, high and low, to no avail. We wanted to just pick up a few more boxes (weren't they, like, $20?) and skip the whole wedding flatware registry thing. We ended up with a some very nice WMF, and have almost convinced ourselves that we like it as much as the ikea design. sigh.
