Former New Yorkers Janet Morales & Stu Eli moved to a little house with a big yard and beautiful garden in Northern Virginia and started the online shop Three Potato Four as a way to share their love of collections and the stories found in vintage objects. We know that the couple has a great eye for vintage finds. According to Stu, when hunting for vintage they're always looking out for color, and it has to be fun. Some favorite recent scores have been a collection of 1950s soap box Derby competitive helmets for kids, a beautiful wooden hippo from '50s Danish designer, Kay Bojesen, and a stuffed leather seal. Finally, we asked what stores they frequented when they lived in New York. In addition to Jack Spade and Jonathan Adler, one of their favorite stores was Brooklyn Superhero Supply Co., a Park Slope store that supplies all your superhero needs (and funds a great writing program for kids).
